We are the industry leader in the design, procurement and distribution of lead acid batteries. Atomic batteries are known for quality, reliability and performance. We offer a 2-year warranty on all Atomic batteries, in addition to a nationwide recycling program and the responsible disposal of non-recyclable waste.

Atomic batteries come with a 2 year warranty for manufacturing defects. In the event you need to make a claim on your battery, please call 1300 184 415 or email atomic@clubassist.com.au to make a claim for return and assessment of the battery with proof of purchase and ownership required.

This warranty does not cover batteries that fail due to improper charging, incorrect fitment, broken container or cover, damage caused by fire, excessive heat, wreckage, explosion, freezing, damage caused by abuse, neglect or the use of special additives introduced to the battery after sale.

If your battery is found to be defective in material or workmanship (and not merely discharged or flat) during the period specified, Atomic Batteries will provide a replacement battery.

All warranty claims are subject to an assessment by our in-house testing facilities. If the battery is deemed as faulty, we will arrange to send a new replacement and refund the reasonable cost of shipping that was incurred by you, the customer. If the battery is flat and not faulty, we will complete a full recharge and return the item to you.

Battery Maintenance

To care for your Atomic battery and maximise its operational life, reducing the likelihood of non-Warranty issues which may affect batteries over time, we suggest the following:

Check the charge rate

Have the charge rate checked during every major service or at least every 6 months. This is because both undercharging and overcharging will reduce your battery’s life.

Charge your battery regularly

Have the charge rate checked during every major service or at least every 6 months. This is because both undercharging and overcharging will reduce your battery’s life.

Safety Precautions

For the safe handling of lead acid batteries, a few important precautions should be observed:

  • Wear gloves, safety glasses or appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling, removing or installing a battery
  • Batteries are quite often heavy so always use the right lifting procedures and use the handle with care, if available on the battery
  • Battery acid contains sulphuric acid which may be harmful if it comes in contact with eyes or skin
  • Always protect batteries and keep away from open flames, sparks or risk of sparking when connecting, disconnecting, or when charging
  • Ensure that battery cables are tight, securely and correctly fitted into place
  • Ensure the terminals are always clean, correctly tightened and all electrical cables are in good and safe condition
  • If you are in doubt about installing or disposing the battery correctly, please contact us on 1300 184 415

Lead-acid batteries are hazardous and can not be legally disposed with regular waste. We have a strict environmental policy to ensure all components of a battery are recycled responsibly.

We recycle every battery we replace nationwide at an EPA approved Recycling Centre and all waste that cannot be recycled is disposed of correctly and responsibly. Our battery recycling programs are designed to also maximise collection rates for used automotive batteries.
